Food, Music, Etc.

I’ve been playing music pretty much since the time I could walk, and over the years have taken up the standup bass, electric bass, harmonica, a little mandolin, tuba, and guitar. I haven’t been gigging out much lately, but I still love to play.

In addition to playing, I love writing and learning about music–I’ve done some professional music writing (which you can find here), and spent two years in college researching Italian blues: who makes it, where it comes from, and why it matters.

I’ve also been eating since before I could walk. I have not given that up yet, and started writing about it, too (more on that here).
